Utzon Center is the Nordic center for architecture and design. Our main focus is exhibitions on current themes in architecture and design with an aesthetic touch of new technology. In a contemporary context we also present the architecture and methods of Jørn Utzon through the Utzon Archive.
Utzon Center was the last building to be designed by Jørn Utzon. In collaboration with his son Kim Utzon, who provided the final construction drawings, he planned the center not as a museum, but as a place where students of architecture could meet and discuss their ideas for the future.
Utzon Center is located on the Limfjord waterfront in Aalborg, the city where Utzon spent his childhood. The building was completed in 2008.
At Utzon Center we make architecture fun for all ages – from kids to adults. We have permanent family activities all weekends and holidays, we conduct architecture and design talks, architecture walks and much more.
You can enjoy a gourmet lunch in the calm surroundings of Utzon Center's restaurant JØRN. You can also rent The Obel Auditorium with the greatest view of the Limfjord for your conference or party, or book one of the beautiful exhibitions halls for receptions or events.
