Can Lis

Can Lis was built in 1972.

In 1966, when Jørn Utzon abandoned the Sydney Opera House project, he decided to settle on Majorca. First, the Utzon family bought a site up in the mountains, where Can Feliz is now located, but initially the authorities would not give him permission to build on this beautiful mountainside.

Instead, Jørn Utzon bought the plot of land near Porto Petro on a steep cliff overlooking the ocean. Thus began the construction of Can Lis.
