It is time for an ecological paradigm shift. The Earth is not only the home of humans; it is equally the home of animals.
In this spirit, Utzon Center and Danish Architecture Center invite students and recent graduates to design habitats for bats, bees, hedgehogs, and other wild animals that struggle to find shelter in our cities.
The competition offers a total prize sum of 50,000 DKK for the winners.
This initiative is supported by the Danish Ministry of Culture and is part of the EU project Desire – Designing the Irresistible Circular Society, about accelerating the transition to a sustainable society.
The competition, titled “Wildlife looking for shelter” (Danish: Vilddyr søger bolig), is about creating, building, and living with a sense of responsibility toward the planet and all its inhabitants – animals as well as humans.
