Experience the story of Can Lis – Jørn Utzon’s iconic Mediterranean house and one of the 20th century’s most significant architectural works – at the premiere of the film Can Lis – Utzon's Hidden Masterpiece.
Perched high on a 20-metre steep Mallorcan cliff, Can Lis is an extraordinary house. A manifesto for sustainable design, it is an architectural poem that uniquely connects art and nature, built with local materials.
With acclaimed architects Piers Taylor (Invisible Studio) and Francisco Cifuentes (Aulets Arquitectes) – alongside Utzon Center’s director, Line Nørskov, one of the world’s leading experts on Utzon’s work – the film explores the essence of Jørn Utzon’s house in Mallorca and its relevance today.
Can Lis – Utzon's Hidden Masterpiece is written and directed by Juan A. Morillas, with an original soundtrack by award-winning composer Juan Cruz-Guevara.
Join us for the film’s premiere in Utzon Center’s most beautiful space. Both the film and introduction will be in English.
