About Utzon Center
Sustainability

At Utzon Center, we take sustainability seriously.

Architecture and sustainability go hand in hand, and sustainability finds a natural place in our stories. It has become a given that cities and buildings are created with sustainability in mind.

At Utzon Center, we take our starting point in Denmark’s best architects. The architects inspire, challenge and demand something from us. In return, we highlight in our exhibitions the architects, who take sustainable responsibility.

The education of children and young people is also part of our primary focus through our Utzon Learning team, which teaches kindergartens, primary schools, and higher education institutions. Children are our future, and it is important for us to take part in preparing them to navigate the world with the need for development and innovation that exists now and will arise in the future.

Green Attraction
In 2024, Utzon Center became a certified Green Attraction. The Green Attraction certificate is an environmental label that makes it easy for guests to find sustainable attractions.

Thus, Utzon Center positions itself as an attraction that prioritizes the environment, nature, and green initiatives. With the certification, we commit to continuing the strategic and managerial work with sustainability, as well as focusing on resource consumption and waste management throughout the building, including the shop and restaurant.

Green initiatives include, among other things, limiting single-use products, saving energy and providing information about public transport instead of car use. You can read about more initiatives that have contributed to our environmental policy here.

We hope that visitors will be inspired and informed by the sustainable ideas exhibited at Utzon Center.
